Derek Trucks has certainly scaled the heights of guitar-GOD as of late, but this album shows that he also has great taste in material. Whether it’s a band original or a well chosen cover, the songs that make up Songlines form Truck’s greatest non-Allman Brothers output to date.
If you are a fan of the Allman Brothers or great jazz, this CD will burn a hole in your CD player….okay, or your iPod, Zune, Flip Flop, or tater tot, etc.
